If you ever split up my brain,
all you will discover is
the compliments that I never said out loud,
the writings that I never complete,
the imaginations that I never made.
All you can find in my brain is
the heartbreaking rejections,
the uncontrollable anxiety,
the sorrow truth.
Only if you ever split up my brain.
Author’s Note
The poem comes from a sudden phrase that I happen to think of when I was on the bus. I kept saying in my head: “If you ever split my brain up” and ended up writing the poem. The poem reflected my personality if anyone ever wanted to see what kind of thoughts my brain has.
